Travel Agent Schools in Jackson

Students will have the opportunity to choose between several awards and degrees, including a Technical Certificate track with 46 course hours, a Career Certificate track with 31 course hours, and an Associate of Applied Science track with 61 - 63 course hours of training.

The program takes place at the school's Jackson training center.

This means that applicants can start their education at any time and continue to move at their own pace as long as they complete their training within the six-month designated period. Of course, it is possible to finish faster than six months, but candidates can still retain access to their learning materials for the entire six-month duration.

As for the actual topics of focus, students will be able to develop tangible skills in travel sales and marketing, transportation types, air travel and arrangements, international geography, and destination geography, among others.

To gain admission, candidates need only a working personal computer and an internet connection. They must also have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed and be able to send emails from a personal account.

The program contains instructional textbooks, which accepted applicants will receive within 7 to 10 business days. These are the Travel Agent Development Textbook + Workbook and the Exploring The World Textbook + Workbook.

Successful program completion will also allow graduates to receive certification from the Travel Institute and other professional organizations.

Additionally, those who would like to spend more time in training can choose the Associate of Applied Science degree program in Travel and Tourism Technology, which is also available here. This program is more rigorous than the Certificate program and covers topics such as tourism geography, hospitality sales, marketing, travel agency operations, and meeting planning.
