Sterile Processing Technician Schools in Charleston

Participants must complete 190 hours of instruction covering medical terminology, inventory management, disinfection, low-temperature sterilization, and more. The certification for which students are prepared is the Certified Registered Central Service Technician credential from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association.

The fees for this certification examination have already been covered, so candidates receive a voucher to take the exam without paying again.

Additionally, upon completing the coursework, students will be eligible to take the HSPA certification examination. Topics of focus include cleaning, assembling, distribution, decontamination, and processing.

For convenience, students can choose between campus-based and online education. For those who would like a combination of both approaches, a hybrid option is available, with some classes online and others on campus.
