Students learn sterilization processes, including key steps and principles. They will also be able to analyze functional areas within the profession and evaluate work hazards for utmost safety.

Candidates need a health form, a high school diploma or GED, and proof of vaccination to be accepted into this program.

The classroom instructions come first, and require 60 hours of training time. Afterward, candidates will participate in hands-on training through a clinical internship at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital.

To be admitted to this program, candidates must be at least 18 years old and hold a high school diploma or GED. Other admission requirements include the ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods, a clean criminal background check, and proper vaccination.
