Candidates can pay their tuition in installments, with monthly payments starting at $160. Upon successful registration, they will receive access to course materials, including textbooks, quizzes, examination preparation questions, videos, and more.

The syllabus covers medical terminology, the integumentary system, pharmacology, oncology, infectious diseases, workplace safety, pharmacy ethics, and controlled substances, among other topics. Students can qualify for the practicum experience portion of the program, but they must first complete a background check and employment verification.

Participants usually need to complete around 400 hours of instruction to graduate. Even if they finish the course materials at any time, they will retain access for 12 months.

Participants must have a high school diploma or GED and be at least 18 years old to participate in the externship portion of the program, which includes 130 hours of clinical experience.

The program is delivered completely online and can be completed in only a few months. As students progress through the coursework, they learn critical concepts that enable them to work in a variety of environments, including retail pharmacies, hospitals, home infusion pharmacies, and more.

The curriculum covers pharmaceutical calculations, insurance billing basics, brand and generic drug differentiation, pharmacy terminology, and more.

Students learn topics vital to career placement and to preparation for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board credentialing exam. Topics of focus include medical terminology, patient recruitment and retention, office duties, pharmacology, dosage calculations, workplace safety, and inventory management, among others.

Naturally, students will be able to learn using a range of materials, including those designed to help them become familiar with computer software and develop practical skills. Graduates also receive a voucher for the certification examination.
