Accepted applicants learn the profession's roles and responsibilities, the legal and ethical framework, and technical topics such as pharmacology and human physiology. They are also prepared for the PTCB certification examination.

Training begins with the classroom portion of the coursework, followed by placement in a clinical environment for hands-on education.

The program starts accepting applicants in August. Interested individuals should note that there are only 12 to 14 spaces each semester.

This is done to ensure an optimal student-to-instructor ratio.

Graduates will leave with a basic technical certificate. They will also be glad to know that the school has a 91% positive placement rate over the past 5 years.

For hands-on experience, students will also have the opportunity to participate in a practicum/externship.

The program's tuition is $8,914 for residents of the state and $28,240 for non-residents. Please note that additional fees apply and are separate from the tuition costs.

As noted on the program website, the objective is not only to help candidates start their careers but also to ensure they acquire knowledge and skills that will serve them throughout their careers.

Applicants seeking flexibility will also be informed that the program is entirely online. They must, however, be at least 18 years old to secure admission.

The program also includes preparation for the PTCB certification exam.

Candidates learn through a combination of virtual and in-person sessions. The hands-on training elements include 4 hours of meetings every week.

Those who successfully complete their coursework will have the knowledge and capability to pass the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board exam.

Apart from its flexibility, the program is particularly commendable for its well-rounded curriculum. Participants learn pharmacy law, ethics, and healthcare systems, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, and pharmaceutical calculations.

Applicants are welcome whether or not they have prior experience in the field. They will also receive preparation for the national certification exam.
