Thirty hours every week are dedicated to classroom instructions, totaling 12 weeks of training. The last 4 weeks are spent in a clinical externship.

Applicants must have a GED or high school diploma and be residents of Rhode Island to gain admission into this program.

The program teaches students customer service relations skills, as they will spend much of their time interacting with customers in a clinical environment. Another highlight of studying here is that graduates can earn CPR and first aid certifications.

For more professional certification, the school focuses on preparing students for the National Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (NCCMA) exam from the National Center for Competency Testing.

The program can be completed in 20 weeks. Of these, 15 weeks are dedicated to classroom instructions, while the next 5 to 6 weeks cover 120 hours of internship.

If accepted, students will develop proficiency in anatomy and physiology, clinical procedures, communication skills, computer skills, customer service, healthcare, laws and ethics, and medical technology.

The training schedule is divided into day and evening options for flexibility. For students in the day classes, the program can be completed in 7 months, which is 30 weeks of education.

Students in the evening classes will learn for 75 weeks, covering 18 months. They will also participate in 13 weeks of internship, totaling 900 hours of experience.

Students will also appreciate the comprehensiveness of the program, as it includes 6 modules covering phlebotomy and EKG technology as well. The school also makes provisions for flexible payment plans.
