As expected of a top-quality apprenticeship program, accepted applicants will work with tools and equipment in the real world and learn the fundamentals of the job in the classroom.

BAC Local 5 training programs are organized with the International Masonry Institute, leading to high educational standards and career opportunities.

Students will also learn about structural masonry techniques, codes, regulations, and safety principles.

The program incorporates hands-on training as much as possible to complement the topics taught in the classroom. Graduates may go on to secure employment, transfer for more education, or participate in an apprenticeship program.

Organized as a two-year construction technology program, accepted applicants learn about general building principles and how to take on large construction projects in residential, commercial, and Industrial capacities. The first year of training is preserved for introductory topics, including operating equipment and measuring.

Students will also participate in a group project during this time.

During the second year, they will have to work on even more complex projects, incorporating all the skills they have been taught.

This associate degree program teaches topics in industry codes, residential and commercial techniques, materials, survey techniques, and project management.

Offered by the school's Center for Workforce and Economic Development, the program strongly emphasizes career readiness so that graduates can secure employment as soon as they complete their curriculum.

Candidates wishing to spend less than two years in training may also choose the Technical Certificate option or the Certificate of Proficiency program.
