Dental Assistant Schools in Billings

Candidates will be able to participate in hands-on clinical training at dental facilities and earn a certificate in dental assisting after one year of training. The school also prioritizes mathematics, writing, and communication courses to ensure that students are as competent as possible.

The Dental Assisting program at Great Falls College of Montana State University is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation. After completing their programs, graduates are eligible for the Certified Dental Assistant examination and other professional exams offered by the DANB.

By the time they graduate, candidates will have received extensive training in key topics, including infection control, chairside assisting, sterilization and safety, and administrative duties. The program also leads to credentialing examinations, for which students will receive a voucher because they have already paid for these examinations as part of their tuition.

Although real-world education is optional, the program still offers willing candidates the opportunity to participate in an externship. Participants have 12 months to complete their training; after this period, they will lose access to the training materials.

Those who wish to complete their education more quickly may also do so.

Students will complete externships in real-world dental settings to gain practical experience. Upon graduation, they will be eligible to sit for the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) exams, including Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) and Infection Control (ICE).
