Carpentry Schools in Oklahoma City

The program, which is conducted at the Rockwell Campus, is available to high school juniors and seniors as well as adult learners.

Majors offered include Carpentry Level I, Introduction to Cabinetry and Interior Finish, Commercial Carpentry, and Advanced Cabinetmaking and Interior Finish.

Tuition is free for high school students, and it costs $3 per clock hour for in-state students and $6 for out-of-state students.

The curriculum emphasizes safety, precision, and project management, preparing graduates for various roles in the construction and cabinetry industries. Graduates can also earn certification in OSHA 10 construction, frame carpentry, and cabinet making.

They'll be able to carry out key tasks, including estimating, framing, and roofing, as well as interior finishing and cabinetmaking.

Students will also work on real projects, including building a modular residential home from the ground up. The curriculum covers OSHA specifications, allowing candidates to earn the OSHA 10 Card and a General Induction Card for on-site work.

Students will have the opportunity to work with power tools and materials.

They will also be conversant in estimation, site layout, and plan reading, among other key areas of the profession. Another notable highlight of studying here is the emphasis on teaching the latest techniques in the field.

The Associated General Contractors of America, the Home Builders Institute, and the National Center for Construction Education and Research recognize Eastern Oklahoma Tech's carpentry program.

For Oklahoma residents, the fund offers training in Oklahoma City and Tulsa.

Students will be able to develop the necessary skills to secure employment while enjoying tuition-free education.

The program lasts for 9 months for both morning and afternoon sections, and 6 months for full-time day students.

Tuition is free for high school students and $1,920 for adult students.
