The program offers two major certifications, which are vital to success as a bookkeeper. These are the Certified Bookkeeper credential offered by the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers and the Microsoft MOS Excel Expert certification.

The curriculum covers accrual accounting, deferral transactions, entry adjustments, the identification and correction of accounting errors, and bank account reconciliation.

Students graduate with a career certificate that can lead to immediate employment and career opportunities. They will also be prepared for the Certified Bookkeeper credential from the AIPB.

Participants earn a certificate upon graduation. They will need to complete 16 credits of coursework, including financial accounting, managerial accounting, business ethics, and computer information systems.

The program also ensures that candidates are proficient with essential tools like QuickBooks and Excel. Upon successful completion, accepted applicants demonstrate clear communication skills, both oral and written, and prepare basic accounting documentation.
