Candidates pursuing an FAA license should consider the Aviation Maintenance Technician program. This program can be completed in 21 months and includes 78 credit hours of training.

Accepted applicants should be prepared to receive a strong introduction to the field in the classroom before moving on to the practical aspects of the job. During training, they will learn how to service, repair, and even overhaul aircraft components. They will work with actual components, including hydraulic systems, piston engines, electrical systems, environmental systems, and instrumentation.

Students will be well-prepared to pass their FAA licensing exam in the Airframe and Powerplant categories.

Offered by the school's Worldwide and Online Campuses, candidates can structure their education most conveniently. Ultimately, they will graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Maintenance and secure employment in various industry fields.

As an intensive evening program, candidates will appreciate the flexibility it offers. They can receive practical experience or even focus on other commitments during the day. Classes are scheduled in 18-week blocks from 3:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

The entire coursework takes two years for full-time students, while part-time students may take longer to complete their training. Candidates can expect to learn key topics in aircraft maintenance and inspection, theory and practical, and hands-on experience to practice everything they have been taught.

In the end, they will qualify for the FAA licensing exam.
